Our innovative expansion at Northside House has been strategically placed around a spacious central area, generously illuminated by a stunning roof lantern to maximise the natural light. To further enhance the overall atmosphere, we've integrated full-height windows into common areas and tranquil spaces whenever possible. The carefully designed wide corridors and bedroom layouts prioritise visibility from the central area.

The V-shaped extension introduces an additional 8 en-suite bedrooms, a day room, storage, and office facilities, all seamlessly integrated with extensive internal refurbishments that unify two separate wards into a harmonious blended ward service. This expansion to the Catton ward elevates the total number of bedrooms to 18, offering the flexibility to accommodate 4 beds and dedicated office space within the ward. Our commitment to excellence is reflected in the high-quality, durable, and secure specifications of our work.

We've also incorporated de-escalation and seclusion facilities into the existing ward spaces, ensuring a comprehensive approach to service-user care. For the remaining wards, common area de-escalation and seclusion facilities have been retained.

In terms of sustainability and comfort, our heating system combines the efficiency of wet underfloor heating (UFH) and Air Source Heat Pumps, complemented by fan coil units and single wall-mounted units. Additionally, a state-of-the-art Air Handling Unit with exhaust air extraction from en-suite areas has been installed, complete with a heat recovery Recuperator to significantly reduce energy consumption.
