South East Corner Project at Portman Road - an initiative blending design with functional enhancements. Our early imagery foresees a space currently undergoing a transformation in the Stadium's South East corner. This project introduces significant breakthroughs, including large vehicle access on the pitch, fortifying the stadium's capacity to host major concert events in the future, and facilitating the installation of a new hybrid playing surface.
Key highlights of the South East Corner Project encompass the installation of a state-of-the-art Big Screen digital display, strategically positioned for optimal visibility. World-leading supplier ADI contributes digital display boards along the pitch perimeter walls, ensuring an immersive spectator experience.
The project involves a comprehensive clear-out and re-purpose strategy for the corner, featuring the removal of old South Stand turnstiles, new facade treatment inspired by the historic East Stand, and the creation of space for new undersoil heating boilers and plant facilities.
Collaborating with the newly acquired former Staples Site, the South Stand Turnstile introduces new access points across the entire rear of the stand, enhancing overall functionality and aesthetics.
