Mixbrow Construction and Hoopers were commissioned to carry out a feasibility study to analyse the existing office accommodation building and its suitability for future use. Bioline’s AgroSciences are currently dispersed around a large rural site. The aim of this feasibility was to explore the options available to bring these staff members together whilst seeking to create a building and environment that meets both the practical needs and ambitious vision of the company.

We explored remodelling around the retained frame of the existing building for the project. The existing grid of the structural frame was adhered to, providing flexible spaces and arrangements. The existing footprint was utilised to incorporate full-height breakout, access, and circulation spaces with dual aspects. An extension area was dedicated to additional lab and office space and the spaces were conceived as 'pods' or inserts within the existing overall volume.
